Earth science shows us the ways that the natural systems – land, water, air, ice – connect to, and affect, each other and our climate. While we are all connected to each other as Earthlings, sharing this tiny, blue ecosystem in space, we are also connected to the planet itself and it, in turn, back to us.

Earth science also connects to the agency’s space exploration by helping us understand other planets, the markers for potential life and, importantly, how astronauts can thrive in space and, one day, on other worlds.

Earth’s interconnected systems bring our planet to life—and connect all of us as one global community.

This Earth Day, share your story of how you’re #ConnectedByEarth.

Have you heard of the Great Global Cleanup? It’s one of the many powerful actions encouraging people worldwide to protect and restore our environment.

Earth Day is celebrated every year on April 22 to show support for environmental protection. First observed in 1970, it has grown into a global movement, reaching over 1 billion people across 193 countries, coordinated by EarthDay.org.

🌱 Earth Talk by Modehbayoblog

Earth science teaches us how natural systems—land, water, air, and ice—are deeply connected and constantly influencing our climate and survival. As inhabitants of this “tiny blue planet,” we are not just connected to each other, but to Earth itself.

According to NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, studying Earth helps scientists understand other planets, the potential for life beyond our world, and how humans can one day live sustainably in space.

Here on Earth, we are fortunate to have the essentials—sunlight, water, soil, and gravity—to grow our own food and sustain life.

🌿 Take Action This Earth Day:
Start your own garden—whether in your backyard or a simple pot. You can grow crops like romaine lettuce, radishes, mustard greens, and more.

Let’s nurture the Earth as it nurtures us.
