Photographs show that Africa is splitting apart as a new ocean starts to form between two masses of land in Kenya.

The separation is causing damage so deep that it is said that the African countries of Zambia and Uganda could one day have their own coastlines. 
Although it could take a long time, experts say that East Africa will eventually form its own separate continent as the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea flood into the new ocean formed by the separation.
